From the Scuola di Vino portfolio. Poggio Delle Baccanti is located in Sant’Antonio Abate, next to Naples in the Penisola Sorrentina, overlooking Mt Vesuvius. They have been making Neapolitan wines for 3 generations and they specialize in Gragnano, Lacryma Christi Bianco, and Lacryma Christi Rosso. The winery farms organically and wines are all made with extremely low amounts of sulphur.
The La Mura family has been making wine on the Sorrento Peninsula, on the slopes of the famous volcano, Mt. Vesuvio, since the 1950’s. They work only with local varietals and have made “a pact with the earth” to treat it with respect, a philosophy that supports their organic farming and low-intervention winemaking practices.
On the nose, this Greco has notes of aromatic herbs, ripe fruit, and citrus. On the palate it has a medium body that is enveloping and characterized by an excellent acidity that makes the sip fresh and lively.
