In 2004 Marc Houtin created Grange Aux Belles and moved to Anjou. Passionate about wine and winegrowers, he obtained his national oenology diploma in Toulouse after several internships carried out notably at the Château d'Iquem. He then bought a 12ha vineyard mainly located on the slopes of Aubance. At the beginning, a large part of the grapes was intended for the Brissac cooperative. At the same time, he began to vinify certain plots, the first vintages were created and were already being imitated.
Marc also met Julien Bresteau in 2004, then an intern at the Mongilet estate, he had been studying wine since he was 15. They joined forces on January 1, 2008, and La Grange aux Belles (The Barn of Beauty) was born.
Through passion, high standards, hard work, patience and humor La grange aux belles has become a recognized estate, synonymous with taste and balance which exports a good part of its wines abroad and abroad. wine merchants throughout France. Today La grange aux belles cultivates and produces 16 organic wine vintages, each with their own specificity and history.
