Dundee, Oregon-based Day Wines is owned and operated by the incredible Brianne Day, a winemaker whose experience spans multiple continents and extends through almost every arm of the wine business. Since establishing her eponymous label in 2012, she has worked in a very intentional, low-intervention way to craft distinctive and nuanced expressions Pacific Northwest terroir. Though Brianne works with plenty of ‘underappreciated’ grapes, as she calls them, Oregon pinot noir is her hallmark. The fruit for this one comes from seven biodynamic and/or organically farmed vineyards across the Willamette Valley. Wafting with aromas of crushed violets, forest and blackberries, it delivers delicious high-toned boysenberry, black cherry and plum flavors with herbaceous cocoa and graphite accents. An added bonus: A portion of Deep Blue's profits go to organizations that promote ocean restoration and cleanup. Organically grown, biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
