The Platinetti Guido Vineyyard is four generations of farmers and winemakers whose personal and tenacious roots are as deeply rooted in the Alto Piemonte region as their vines on the hill overlooking the town of Ghemme.

From the Winemaker:

This wine captures the honest and gentle soul of the land where it grows. The Vespolina grapes are the first to be harvested and are fermented on the skins for up to five days in stainless steel.  After racking, the wine continues to age in stainless steel for a minimum of 6 months, followed by a mandatory 4-month bottle stint.  With an intense, fruity, vinous, and slightly mineral aroma, the palate is smooth and fresh, enlivened by a light, pleasant acidity. A balance of delicate flavors woven together by a bold spiciness, a defining characteristic of this grape variety.
