Sylvain Martinez started making his own wines in 2006 with only the help of close family, after several years he was able to expand, working with a small, seasonal team of people who live locally. All work in the vineyard is carried out by hand, selection is done with utmost care before being gently pressed with the use of an ancestral press.

Profound showing from Sylvain here. Chenin is such a beautifully expressive and direct varietal and here it shows its potential width. Amazing secondary and tertiary notes come through with very direct acidity. A uniquely dynamic chenin, with a lot of complexity and idiosyncrasies. Every wine from Sylvain is worth trying but perhaps this above all feels like a trademark wine.
