Gober & Freinbichler, a project from Dominic Gober and Gerald Freinbicher, two emerging stars of the natural wine movement in Austria. The pair met working in the cellar of Franz Weninger and purchased a small plot in Neckenmarkt, in southern Burgenland, where they began growing Blaufränkisch in 2019. In 2023, they began cultivating Zweigelt, which they blended with Merlot and Blaufränkisch to produce the 2023 vintage of “Chill”. The wine is juicy, but balanced, with notes of dark berries, spice, and plenty of acidity on the palate.
